| Well, it depends who you ask. To some anime is just a time waste, or maybe just something else to do. To others like me anime is a way of life, I think anime is more then just something to watch, its a mixture of emotions and excitement and your always thinking about whats going to happen next. I know a lot of people don't get anime, don't like it, or just plain old think its stupid but I guarantee you 90% of those people didn't give anime a chance. Anime is a whole different world and a lot of people don't even know it. |

| Are anime fans born or made? No one knows, but honestly what I can say is you rather like anime or you don't. Because if you like anime, you can never really hate it, as far as i've seen. If you give me a list of things you hate to see in a show and things you like, or a general genre you prefer, I can recommend to you lots of different series.

| I don't particularly care much for most anime (especially dubbed versions of the original show), but I grew up like everyone else my age watching animated feature films from Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks, and so I have come to appreciate being able to relate and enjoy characters and events even if they are computer generated/drawn. So the shift into anime isn't difficult if you're used to that (for older generations like back before the 90's, it could be more difficult to appreciate animated television), but sometimes you'll happen upon a show like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Darker than Black, or Sword Art Online, and like me, someone who doesn't really watch anime or read manga or anything, and I can watch these all the way through in the original Japanese. Some anime is above average in terms of storytelling, and if you have any unscrutinous bone in your body, it shouldn't be difficult to sit down and watch a masterpiece of filmmaking even if it happens to be anime. |
